Israel Kills Two in Gaza, Blocks Thousands from Medical Exit Through Rafah
Israeli fire has killed at least two Palestinians in separate incidents across the Gaza Strip, according to reports from local sources and hospital officials. One child was killed in a drone strike in northern Gaza, while 20-year-old Muhand Jamal al-Najjar was shot near Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis. Several others were wounded in incidents in central Gaza and Rafah.
At the same time, Israel continues to block thousands of Palestinians from seeking urgent medical treatment through the Rafah crossing into Egypt. The United Nations estimates that out of 18,500 people in urgent need of medical care, only 260 have been allowed to leave. Ambulances carrying patients were seen waiting on the Egyptian side of the border, highlighting the humanitarian crisis.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that since a ceasefire took effect in mid-October, more than 600 people have been killed and over 1,600 injured, underscoring repeated violations of the truce. Human rights groups warn that restricting medical exits exacerbates the suffering of civilians trapped in Gaza.
